Marta Teegen is a professional kitchen garden designer and trained chef, who is passionate about reconnecting urban residents with the pleasures of homegrown food. She designs and maintains custom vegetable gardens for clients in Los Angeles through her business, Homegrown LA. She also teaches a variety of public classes on organic gardening techniques. She is the author of the forthcoming Homegrown: A Growing Guide for Creating a Cook's Garden (Rodale 2010).
