David Butler, founder of Art of the Midwest Studio, divides his time between writing, design, fine art & music. Author of 10 previous non-fiction books, his lastest Dead Snowmen fiction work combines his passion for psychological
thrillers with his love of adventure. His design and fine art exhibition work culminated into a collaboration with Cirque du Soleil on VAREKAI - of which he created the ethereal Icarus puppet used as the chief poster and marketing. And with the self-proclaimed "Mennonite Glam Rock" band Black Owls, David acts as lyricist, singer, drummer, and lead exorcist. He is married to the glamorous and beautiful designer Amy Butler of whom he acts as chief counsel and willing chauffeur.
