Aled Jones

Aled Jones – Proud Welshman is a successful singer, actor, author, radio & TV presenter/broadcaster and part-time dancer, with a career spanning over 25 years.

After studying at the Royal Academy of Music and Bristol's Old Vic Theatre School, Aled played Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.' He has performed as Caractacus Potts in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', and played the lead role in Irving Berlin's 'White Christmas' in several cities.

Aled will be on BBC Radio 2 Sunday mornings until the end of 2012. He also presents BBC Radio 3's 'The Choir' and has a chat show on BBC Radio Wales. He has also appeared on ‘Songs of Praise’ for over 10 years.

Aled has recorded 29 albums, selling over 6 million copies, and has released two books: 'Aled's Favourite 40 Hymns' and 'Favourite Christmas Carols'.

He has filmed for 'Escape to the Country' and 'Cash in the Attic', as well as filming for 'Classical Destinations' a series about famous composers.

Aled also embarks on a UK Cathedral Tour next year and often tours Australia.

Aled started co-presenting ‘Daybreak’ with Lorraine Kelly on ITV1 from September 2012 and will be featured on numerous ITV shows over the Christmas period.
