Overview
The Agency Group – the world’s leading independent talent booking agency – is a career-building, taste-making, Artist development powerhouse.

Covering the full array of musical genres – from rock, metal, reggae, folk, adult contemporary, latin, R&B, hip hop, classical, indie, jazz, punk, pop/ EDM, theatrical etc – our continued worldwide success is driven through shared ambitions and built entirely on the success of our Artists: identifying nascent talent, breaking new acts, nurturing them and developing those acts into global and sustainable successes in the live touring sector and beyond.

Representing a deep and impressive roster of over 2,000 musicians, speakers, comedians, authors and chefs, The Agency Group is responsible for driving the successful careers of many of the most recognizable and trailblazing names in the entertainment industry, including, The Black Keys, Deep Purple, Guns N’ Roses, Muse, Paramore, Nickelback, Bullet for My Valentine, Wiz Khalifa, The Kills, Gotye, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, A$AP Rocky, Tegan and Sara, RUSH and many, many more.

……And we’ve been successfully doing what we do best for over 30 years. The Agency Group was founded in 1981 by Neil Warnock, an industry veteran who has represented and/ or consulted for some of the most influential musicians of our time – including: The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Michael Jackson. A multi-award winning agent himself (Pollstar’s “UK Booking Agent of the Year” – 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, & 2012), as Founder & Worldwide President, Neil continues to be the sole agent for a stellar roster of acclaimed international artists from Dolly Parton to Alice Cooper to Motorhead to Liza Minnelli to Status Quo. Neil and his team of 80 highly professional Agents (and 121 uber-dedicated support and administration staff) have been recently joined by Gavin O’Reilly, Worldwide CEO, who has a 20+ year career in media and entertainment.

At The Agency Group, we pride ourselves on building singularly strong ties with our Artists and their Managers by ensuring that each of our Agents represent specific Artists, as distinct from other agencies who simply restrict their efforts to defined, geographic territories.

The Agency Group currently operates from seven dedicated offices – London, New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Miami, Toronto and Malmo – allowing us to offer a truly global representation to our Artists. In addition, we offer our Artists valued-added opportunities in brand integration/ endorsements, digital media and tour marketing, college booking and corporate/ events expertise.

The Agency Group’s talent roster – in its Music, Literary, Speakers/Public Appearances, Culinary, and Classical and Performing Arts departments – includes the full spectrum in Artists’ career trajectories, including emerging Artists, Artists at the pinnacle of their careers and living legends. Our hallmark characteristic and proven ability to identify, successfully curate and book Talent globally, rather than territorially, enables our Agents not only to form that cohesive and strong relationship with our Artists, but foster our Agents’ abilities to play an integral role in our Artists’ development, their career growth, and their long-term, sustainable success.

Departments
The Agency Group is a comprehensive service agency, enabling clients to generate revenue and pursue growth opportunities inside and outside of the touring sector.

Led by Paul Conroy, TAG’s Business Development and Brand Integration division provides a support system for our clients with the purpose of creating more dynamic business and brand platforms. This support system includes brand-integrated partnerships, licensing, equity-based partnership opportunities and multi-media guidance.

Paul Conroy is a music and action sports industry veteran. Prior to joining The Agency Group, Paul was CEO of Dyrdek Enterprises, the company founded by professional skateboarder-turned entrepreneur and TV celebrity Rob Dyrdek. At Dyrdek, Paul was responsible for negotiating several significant brand partnerships, most notable being a multi-year deal with Kraft Foods that resulted in an award-winning, multi-platform campaign. Paul was also instrumental in the successful close of a multi-million dollar financing for Street League Skateboarding, the leading professional street skateboarding property, with Causeway Media Partners. Paul’s extensive network in entertainment, along with two decades of business development capabilities, provides the backbone for TAG’s Business Development and Brand Integration division.

At TAG we carefully align our clients with prominent and influential brands to create unique, authentic, long-term partnerships that work to elevate the brands’ awareness and exponentially increase the clients’ visibility and reach around the world. We create partnerships which are built to withstand the test of time and which genuinely speak to the consumer.

We offer our clients media support through our network of content creators and digital and broadcast platforms. Our relationships with the most influential content creators and multi-faceted media platforms allow us to offer deep support to TAG clients in their efforts to expand into multi-platform influencers, giving the artist and/or brand the chance to interact with their audience in previously unexplored ways.

The Agency Group represents the best live music Acts in the world, many of which are also in great demand for performances at corporate and private events and endorsements.

Our Corporate and Events team work to find opportunities for our Artists, anywhere in the world and to suit any budget. In the corporate world, as well as facilitating our Artists to perform at parties and events, we initiate important conversations about more developed and deeper relationships with our Artists to include incentive schemes, commercial endorsements, brand partnerships, tour sponsorship and other non-traditional touring activities. Our team takes a holistic approach and works closely with outside agencies, event organisers and private individuals to find the perfect Act for their party; be it for a birthday, bar mitzvah, wedding, anniversary or any other celebration.

Very recent bookings include global singer sensation Katherine Jenkins performing with her pianist at Topshop owner Philip Greene’s birthday party, David Garrett performing at the end of a four-day business meeting at a Chateau in Cannes, and cult, credible US electronic act Chromatics performing at the Chanel SS-13 show in Paris. The Agency Group has the contacts and ability to make these corporate performances happen.

The Agency Group’s in-house tour marketing team develops and executes creative, focused, and highly effective tour marketing plans and social media strategies for TAG’s touring clients.

The division provides added value marketing strategies to tours by working with promoters, record labels, and artists’ management teams to maximise all tour marketing efforts. With over 10 years of tour marketing experience across all genres of live events, the in-house marketing team, led by Director of Marketing, Eddie Clemens (previously of AEG), is an extremely valuable resource to all of TAG’s touring clients.

The Agency Group is exceptional in live music, worldwide. Company founder Neil Warnock dynamically leads a global team of over 80 passionate Agents from our offices in London, Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, Toronto and Malmo. The Classical and Performing Arts Department exclusively represents a shared roster of over 200 artists and continues to grow as one of the leading live booking Departments in the world.

Directed by Vice President Heulwen Keyte (London) the team represents a varied roster of internationally renowned classical, jazz, music theatre, contemporary, world, pop, and rock artists many of whose styles, stories, and sounds make them particularly well-suited to orchestra symphony and performing arts programming.

The Department works closely with Public broadcasters on the development and touring of artists. Recent success stories include Alfie Boe’s arena tour, Katherine Jenkins, Laura Wright and Only Men Aloud performing at the Queen’s Coronation in 2013, and Alison Balsom headlining the Waterfront stage at Latitude Festival.

Based in New York, the Department’s roster is home to top-level characters from the worlds of film, TV, and music, with A-list roster including Quincy Jones, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Nye the Science Guy, Al Pacino and Richard Branson and more.

With a reputation for creating new and interesting ways for talent to develop platforms and enhance their brand, the Speakers and Public Appearances Department is led by The Agency Group’s Vice President, Betsy Berg (who joined The Agency Group after a 20-year stint as the head of the Lectures Department at both the William Morris Agency and ICM).

Betsy is an expert at delivering top tier talent for buyers and creating unforgettable experiences for audiences across the globe. She works diligently in creating novel ways for talent to develop their platforms and enhance their brand. Some recent highlights have included Al Pacino and Sylvester Stallone at the London Palladium, Oprah’s Canadian tour and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Down Under tour.

From its dual headquarters in New York and London, The Agency Group’s Literary Department represents a broad roster of authors, journalists, musicians, artists, celebrity chefs, thought leaders, business and pop culture brands. The department takes an innovative and unique approach to the development and representation of content and consequently has placed books with every major publishing house and been unusually successful in developing books across digital and film platforms.

Based in New York, department head Marc Gerald (Senior Vice President – Innovation) came to The Agency Group having spent a number of years writing and producing for Fox Television. Prior to that, he created the acclaimed Old School Books imprint for WW Norton. Gerald’s roster includes some of the most innovative and provocative voices of our time, ranging from Eminem and Brian Wilson to best-selling vegan chef Isa Moskowitz, actor Sasha Grey and graphic novelist, Jeffrey Brown.

Juliet Mushens, who runs the London office, is something of a rising star often being asked to comment on her field in the press and previously picked as a Bookseller Rising Star in 2012 and shortlisted for the Kim Scott Walwyn Prize in 2013. Juliet began her publishing career in 2008 at HarperCollins, after reading history at Cambridge, and became an Agent in 2011. Juliet represents a bestselling list of fiction and non-fiction writers and has had noteable recent success with popular authors Jessie Burton and James Oswald.

The Agency Group represents a small, but growing roster of celebrated chefs. For further information, please contact our Toronto and/ or Los Angeles office.

FAQs
Please send your CD, along with a press kit if you wish, to the office that is in the country you reside in or are closest to. Please mark the envelope “Attention: A&R”. The addresses for each office can be found on this website.

Please note:
Although we do try to listen to everything we receive, the volume of submissions is usually quite high and it may take us a while to get back to you.

We primarily work with artists who offer their own original material (no cover bands).

We take on bands that have already developed themselves to the point where they need an agent. If you have not booked any shows on your own yet, it is unlikely you’re ready for us.

  1. Is the artist(s) you’re interested in on tour? Does their time frame work with yours? If so, make an offer to send to the appropriate agent.
  2. If you don’t know the agent to send to, please use the search bar above to find the responsible agent in your territory.
  3. Please note that prices can be discussed with agents only and are dependent on a number of factors surrounding any show.
When putting together a tour or even a show, a band or their agent usually already have an opening act in mind. Though it is not easy for bands just starting out, we recommend that you work hard at playing as many shows as you can, in the closest metropolitan area that bands you like play as well. Play small shows, play shows with other local bands, play anywhere that people will see you. This way you will get on the radar of the people who book the shows and soon enough, you will be up for those opening slots.
Check the artist page or search the band on either Bandsintown and/or Pollstar: both offer some of the largest databases of concert listings on the web.
